New Cars Still Through Scrappage Scheme

by admin

The famous scrappage scheme under which lots of new cars were ordered and bought is to be extended. This news has been welcomed with enthusiasm on the side of both drivers and car producers who have advocated the extension for a long time. The scheme was in action from May this year and was intended to end either in February 2010 or when the budget ran out. And the second ending option started to emerge. Until now, the scrappage scheme has helped to boost the production of new cars with nearly 230 thousand orders, stimulate the motor industry and market, create some new jobs and make a considerable number of drivers happier. As stated by the government, the scheme would be extended with an aim of covering around one hundred thousand new cars and vans.

Used Jaguar

However, the aluminium Audi A8 weighs a comparatively high 1,830 kg (4,000 lb) (3.0 V6 TDi) compared to 1,539 kg (3,390 lb) of the (3.0 V6) XJ.
On its own, the current XJ’s bodyshell weighs about the same as a contemporary BMW MINI. If the car were made of steel, it is estimated that it would weigh 40% more. Some of the styling features that distinguish the X350 from the previous XJ include the outer headlights, which are larger than the inner headlights, and wheels which are pushed out further towards the corners of the car (due to an increased wheelbase), both like the original Mark 1 used Jaguar XJ. Also, the X350 dispenses with the separate “sixthlight” rear side window of its predecessor, reverting back to two side windows with quarterlight glasses mounted in the rear doors, like the Mark 1.

When buying a new car privately or on behalf of a company, it would be wise to treat it as an investment. As almost every investment needs protection, a vehicle is no different. In most cases, motor and other common insurance will cover most things. But there are occasions when some special measures need to be applied. Presuming your brand or nearly new car has been stolen, you will find yourself at a big loss. And the car crime in the UK is a third of all crime. Insurance for Used Cars

by admin

I don’t know about you guys but for me, even though I have been buying car insurance for many years now, I still don’t actually understand exactly what I am covered for! I mean how complicated is it with all that small print?! So my little bit of knowledge that I have is below. The basics of car insurance are to provide financial cover in the event of an accident. People pay a monthly (or one off) payment to cover themselves against accident, injury, death and also for other people (depending on what type of agreement is in place). There are different types of cover; comprehensive (being the ultimate level of cover), 3rd party and third party fire and theft (this option is normally used for low value cars or very old used cars).

Used Car Buying – Vehicle Checks

by admin

Purchasing a used car is usually equal to saving some money and starting to possess a vehicle that has a history and maintenance records. Among many dangers which may appear while buying a used car is being conned into buying a stolen or faulty vehicle. When the purchase transaction is finalised, it is pretty hard in the majority of cases to claim against anything that has happened in the past. One of ways to avoid those inconveniences is to arrange the used car checks by specialist agencies dealing with checking histories of second hand vehicles. Those companies have their experts who are in possession of access to more car data than anyone else and perform very detailed investigations into any car they are tasked with. It is in fact one of the best ways to avoid purchasing used cars that have been stolen, clocked or even written off. The potential buyer will even be able to find out if there are any unpaid finances against the vehicle. Such companies such as HPI for example, are also hired by manufacturers and participate in their approved used car programs; delivering vehicle registration checks of the highest quality. As the act of checking and investigating is a sort of service to the customer, these companies also provide warranty cover for their actions, should any part of investigation or data received turned out to be incorrect. So it might be wise to pay a small amount before making your used cars purchase and save yourself from unnecessary costs and a lot of headache.
